1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.

4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.

7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.

9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew; the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

MESSAGE: – Open Heavens 17 July 2026 Friday Daily Devotional

Today, I will discuss marital burdens as another category of burdens. Satan hates everything God has created, including the institution of marriage. This is why he always tries to disrupt the holy matrimony between a man and a woman. Sometimes, he focuses on keeping a man and a woman from ever getting married, and at other times, he visits a husband and his wife with different problems that will keep them from enjoying peace and rest in their home.

Today’s Bible reading tells us about a wedding in Cana of Galilee. The bridegroom must have thought that everything that was needed for the wedding had been provided. However, they suddenly ran out of wine. I am sure that they felt ashamed until the Almighty God intervened.

1 Samuel 1:1-20 tells us the story of Hannah, who was barren. Her adversary mocked her daily, and as a result, her life became unbearable. She didn’t plan to be barren, but barrenness came nonetheless, and there was nothing she could do about it. The Burden Bearer stepped into her situation, however, and she gave birth to six children, among whom was the renowned prophet, Samuel. Sarah was also under the yoke of barrenness until the Burden Bearer visited her and her husband in Genesis 18:1-6. Before the Burden Bearer intervened in their marital situation, Sarah had been barren for decades, which was why she laughed when she heard that she would give birth to a son the following year. If you have been looking for the fruit of the womb and have lost hope that you will ever carry your own child, I want you to know that the Burden Bearer is also the hope of the hopeless, and He will surprise you. In the name that is above every other name, I decree that every barren woman who is reading this devotional will sing for joy soon.

Beloved, there is no marital challenge that the power of God cannot subdue. The Lord can command peace to reign where there is chaos and disunity, and He can still the storm in any marriage. If you are married and are currently experiencing any storm in your marriage, I pray that the Burden Bearer will step into your marriage now and cause you to sing a new song, in Jesus’ name. Also, if you are of marriageable age and are yet to be married, I decree that the Almighty God will settle you maritally with a godly spouse, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points for Open Heavens 17 July 2026 – Deliverance From Marital Burdens

1. Father, I thank You for the institution of marriage and for the marriages of Your children around the world. Thank You for being the Burden Bearer who steps into every marital situation, in Jesus’ name.

2. Lord, I ask for mercy for every sin, mistake, or misstep in my marriage that has opened the door to marital burdens, in Jesus’ name.

3. Father, just as You turned water into wine at the wedding in Cana, turn every lack, every shame, and every disappointment in my marriage into a testimony of Your glory, in Jesus’ name.

4. Lord, I pray for every couple experiencing barrenness. As You visited Hannah and Sarah, visit them and open their wombs. Let them carry their own children and sing for joy, in Jesus’ name.

5. Father, I command every storm in my marriage to be still. Let every chaos, misunderstanding, and disunity be replaced with peace, harmony, and love, in Jesus’ name.

6. Lord, I pray for every single person of marriageable age who desires a godly spouse. Settle them maritally with a partner who will love You and them according to Your will, in Jesus’ name.

7. Father, I pray against every attack of the enemy against marriages—infidelity, bitterness, unforgiveness, and strife. Let the fire of God consume every plan of the devil against my home, in Jesus’ name.

8. Lord, I pray for marriages that are on the verge of collapse. Restore them, heal them, and let them become testimonies of Your restoration power, in Jesus’ name.

9. Father, I pray for every couple who has been mocked because of their marital challenges. Turn their mourning into dancing and their sorrow into joy, in Jesus’ name.

10. My personal prayer point: (Mention specific marital challenges you are facing—whether in your own marriage or the marriage of a loved one—and ask God for deliverance).

11. Thank You, Father, for the assurance that no marital challenge is too big for You. I receive Your peace and intervention in my home, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
